About Me

My name is Terry Page.  I am a “wanna-be weightlifter” that found this wonderful sport about 25 years too late.  I have been training in some fashion since my father took me to the Cobra Gym in my hometown when I was 15.  My training was based on the bodybuilding-type template that we picked up from everyone else in the gym scene.  Chest on Monday, back on Tuesday… you get the picture.  In college, I become consumed with fitness, reading old strength and conditioning journals in the library most every evening.  While working on my degree in Health and Human Performance, I worked as a personal trainer.  In 2000, I became a full time physical fitness instructor.  I ran miles and did thousands of calisthenics before having a long love affair with CrossFit that started in 2004.  CrossFit eventually led me to weightlifting for sport in 2011, at the age of 36.  I have competed several times, sometimes against one person, sometimes against a bunch.  I have won some, lost more, and had a great time at every meet.
